Schotten's Coffee Milk Pail Tin, St. Louis, MO 1915

This is an antique coffee tin in the shape of a milk pail from the William Schotten Coffee Company in St. Louis, MO, 1910.  William Schotten began roasting coffee in St. Louis in 1862.   The Schotten Coffee brand became one of the best known and largest selling brands in the Midwest by the early 1900’s.  The William Schotten Company later became the Jerome Schotten Company in the 1920’s.  Jerome Schotten was the son of William Schotten and  was President of the William Schotten Co. Jerome decided to change the name of the company after himself.
