G. Riesmeyer Distilling Co, Pottery Whiskey Jugs, St. Louis, MO
The Gustavus Riesmeyer Distilling company was in business from 1884-1918 in St. Louis, MO at 1322 -1324 Franklin Avenue, now called Martin Luther King Drive. The business apparently went out of business with prohibition never to return like so many once it ended. Pottery Ceramic Whiskey Jugs from the KT&K China company in East Liverpool OH where they made a select few different kinds of these jugs years ago. They produced Meadow Springs and Old Maryland brands of whiskey. These particular pottery jugs are ca 1900.
