This is a beautiful antique porcelain sign for the Yankee Label Bread brand manufactured by The Heydt Baking Company in St. Louis, MO. The Heydt Company used Uncle Sam as their logo for the Yankee Label Bread product as shown on this sign. This same sign can be seen in old postcard views from the 1910 era around the St. Louis area and the brand was a large seller. On March 1, 1907 the American Bakery Company bought out the Heydt Bakery along with 6 other area bakeries.
