Circa 1900 One Gallon Stoneware advertising whiskey jug. George Buente Shipping Company in Saint Louis, Missouri. Great stenciling on the border which is an unusual style compared to most stoneware ad jugs. George Buente was in business before prohibition and did not come back into business once it ended similar to many other whiskey and liquor manufacturing companies during this time period.
