Price Brothers Inc.

Founded in 1926 by Louis Price, he was an early advertising pioneer in Chicago IL.  Louis was the only founder of Price Brothers Inc. also known as Price Bros. and only used the “Brothers” in the company name because he though it sounded more professional.

Price Brothers Inc. was a manufacturer of point-of-purchase, metal cast signs, and display advertising. For decades, Price Brothers manufactured directional signs, including up-and-down signs and arrows for Sears stores worldwide, and advertising found on cash registers, behind bars, and in pharmacies. One of the signature signs that Price Brothers. Inc. made was the “Halo Cab Light” which was a back-lite half dome-shaped glass sign that resembled an old school taxi cab light.  Their cab light style signs were similar to what the Gillco Glass Sign Company was making at the time.
